Conveniently situated on the Suffolk–Essex border, nestled amidst 300 acres of breath-taking countryside, this is a well-kept secret. It is a wonderfully secluded and peaceful location but, at the same time, easily accessible. A dream location for a dream country wedding.

Quendon Park

The Reid Rooms

Spains Hall

This 2000-acre estate, on the fringes of the picturesque north Essex village of Finchingfield has been the home of the Ruggles-Brise family home for over 250 years. Since 2005 the stable block and Elizabethan house have been returned to their former glory. It offers a unique, authentic and inspirational venue

Braxted Park

This beautiful Queen Anne house is set in its own historic and unique parkland setting. Luxurious accommodation is available for the bride and groom and their family along with a number of local hotels close by.

Blake Hall

This is a fully restored 17th century barn for exclusive use for weddings, wedding receptions and other special occasions. They are licenced for civil weddings and partnership ceremonies, both inside the Essex barn and outside.

Boreham House

An amazing Grade I listed mansion with a stately avenue of trees, between which there is a breath-taking lake. Original features have been retained including the decorative hand crafted plasterwork on the 24ft high ceilings, original fireplaces and solid oak hand carved panelling.

Creeksea Place

The historical beauty of this Tudor mansion, with its lawn and lakes, will provide a unique and exquisite setting and exclusively yours for the day. Originally built in 1569, it’s been lovingly restored.

Smeetham Hall Barn

The Barn is a grade 2 listed building built in the mid-16th Century and was used as a threshing barn for the storage of grain. It’s now used for unique weddings in the beautiful countryside on the Essex and Suffolk border.
